Considering his distaste for retail pharmacy work and his fulfillment in writing pieces for medical journals, Morgan applied for a position at a pharmaceutical advertising agency. Dean Burdick Associates was his first stop, and he then moved on to Robert A. Becker, Inc, before landing at Klemtner Advertising in 1967.
With his scientific background, he emerged as an outstanding account manager, truly understanding the products that he was assigned to promote. His clients were all well-known companies; Ayerst, Abbott, USV, Lederle, and most prominent – Pfizer.
Morgan formed strong relationships with his clients, delving into their viewpoint, searching for their vision, determining what the client wanted to project. This insightfulness and dedication to his clients catapulted him through the ranks, and he eventually became the president of the company.
Morgan launched many successful advertising campaigns for Pfizer; Zithromax, Lipitor, Glucotrol, Ben-Gay, Unisom, and Viagra, just to name a few.
In 1984, Morgan made his next major career move when he formed Cline, Davis, and Mann, Inc along with his colleagues Clyde Davis and Fred Mann. With a loyal client following, Morgan found even greater success in the new company that he had founded.
